All of us have a plethora of talents, and an abundance within our own hearts.

Please consider, on the American front, participating on our Board of Directors, working at a SSAAP fundraiser, donating, or assisting us with spreading information about the project through word of mouth to your friends.

On the African front, visiting our headquarters in Zambia, assisting in our thriving programs in Sierra Leone, or offering insights to our emerging programs in Sudan will boost participation from the Africans. Your ideas and physical presence in Africa would mean the world to us.

Donation Impacts

Read about how community well drilling projects support many community initiatives. How would you feel if you could contribute $25.00 toward the construction of a $1,000 well which would provide clean drinking water to an entire village community in Sierra Leone? Or $50 toward the construction of a $3,000 to $5,000 well in Zambia?

Primary school sponsorship helps provide the opportunity for children to attend school. Imagine if you knew that $8.00 would buy a school uniform, learning materials, exercise books, and pencil/eraser/pencil sharpener as well as a handbag to place the learning materials for a Sierra Leonean child so she could attend school for an entire year?

Endowment Requests

Despite Heather Cumming’s lifelong efforts, there will unfortunately be a need for SSAAP long into the generations of her great grandchildren.

Your ultimate gift, as a bequest in your will, however small or large, naming Simwatachela Sustainable Agricultural and Arts Program (Federal Tax number or EIN: 27-2033029), is a gift that goes beyond global measurement. You can restrict your wishes to a particular SSAAP program or allow your gift to be used for general purposes.

Here are the 4 simplest ways you can include SSAAP in your will:

  • Percentage bequest: “I give, bequeath, and devise ( x percent) to Simwatachela Sustainable Agricultural and Arts Program, a qualified 501 (c)(3) Colorado non-profit corporation, to be used for its general or specific purposes.”

  • Specific bequest: “I give, bequeath, and devise (specific dollar amount or description of specific asset) to Simwatachela Sustainable Agricultural and Arts Program, a qualified 501 (c)(3) Colorado non-profit corporation, the sum of $____ to be used for its general purposes, or restricted to _______.”

  • Contingency bequest: “I give to (name of person) the greater of ($ amount or x% of) the residue of my estate. Should (name of person) predecease me, I direct this sum or percentage to Simwatachela Sustainable Agricultural and Arts Program, a qualified 501 (c)(3) Colorado non-profit corporation, to be used for its general or specific purposes.”

  • Residuary bequest: “I give to Simwatachela Sustainable Agricultural and Arts Program, a qualified 501 (c)(3) Colorado non-profit corporation, all (or %) of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, for its general or specific purposes.”

In-Kind Donations

In-kind donations are always so appreciated by SSAAP, whether it be your volunteer time of your special gifts, eye wear for Zambia and/or sunglasses for Sierra Leone, soccer balls for Zambia, non-perishable food packets, toothpaste and toothbrushes. If you are interested in contributing an in-kind donation, view our wish-list.
