With excessive hunger, starvation, and death related to malnutrition, poverty levels in Sierra Leone are at an all-time high post-Ebola Outbreak. Cultivating seeds such as cashew nut or indigenous trees bearing fruits (mangos, coconuts, palm tree kernel nuts), community groups can use excess produce to sell and generate a small amount of income for their prospective community groups and families. Seed packets cost $2/packet. With this income, the community groups can then pursue larger ventures to uplift their communities.
