In-Kind Donations of Sunglasses
In an effort to prolong the vision of Sierra Leone’s Ebola Survivor population, sunglasses help shield the eye and prevent the rapid onset of Uveitis.
Uveitis, an inflammation inside the eye that every Ebola survivor suffers from, leads to eventual blindness and has no known treatment.
Survival of one of the deadliest epidemics historically to have spread through the tropics, the Ebola Outbreak left many fatalities and few survivors. Those fortunate enough to survive the outbreak were left with the scars of vision impairment.
If you have any sunglasses you or a member of your family are not using, kindly consider donating them to SSAAP. You will be prolonging the inevitable blindness the Ebola survivors are facing.
