Trachoma is the leading cause of blindness in Zambian’s remoter areas, aggravated by poor hygiene. Many local people suffer from a lack of corrected vision, blindness in one eye, or a “lazy eye.”  SSAAP is working to help those suffering from vision impairment through distribution of eyewear to those in need.
