Primary School Sponsorship Program

$8/child/year

Once the seat of all education and higher learning on the coast of West Africa, Sierra Leone now has shockingly high illiteracy levels due to the two massive obstacles the nation has faced in the last thirty years: civil war and infectious war (i.e. Ebola Outbreak). As primary-age school fees in Sierra Leone are paid for entirely by the Sierra Leonean government, the cost to sponsor a child to primary school is only $8.00 per year, which pays for the uniform, shoes, school bag and writing materials.

The Sierra Leone School Sponsorship Agreement Against Violence is signed by participants as part of SSAAP’s Nonviolence Policy.
