Sierra Leone Craftsmen and Women

Hair sticks made of porcupine quills. Baskets woven from the stalks of palm trees. Masks adorned with beads, shells, and raffia. Batik dresses, shawls, suits, and headpieces; beaded jewelry and carved statues all are produced through SSAAP’s Craftsmen and Women’s Program whereby SSAAP works with local artisans throughout the entirety of the nation to paint, weave, bead, sew and cultivate a living through one of the most ancient roots of their culture: traditional arts and crafts.

Local, hand-made, and heart-woven items are available through SSAAP’s fundraisers in either Colorado or Ohio, USA. Please contact us for more information.

Please consider donating to SSAAP. Any donation will help. No donation is too small.
